Looking for some summer fun?  My daughter, MIL and I recently spend a day enjoying all the FREE Things to do in Ft Worth!  Maybe you want to check them out, too!

We weren’t born in Texas…..BUT we got here as quick as we could!

It’s been almost eleven years since our family moved to Texas and we love it here!  There’s so many things to see and do!  Whether it’s art, history, western culture, beautiful scenery or food you love…..you’ll find it all in Ft Worth.

The first thing you need to know is…….IT’S HOT!!!  Many summer days it gets over 100, so we’ll start with the best ways to….

Beat the Heat:

Before heading out, PACK WATER!!  This is THE most important thing to remember.  Plan ahead and pack a couple of bottle of Ozarka® Brand Natural Spring Water for everyone.

Why Ozarka® Brand Natural Spring Water?  Because it’s Born from Nature, Made in Texas!  It’s #FromHereForHere and comes from three Texas Springs giving it a uniquely Texas fresh taste.  If you’re coming to Texas you might as well get the full experience!

Jetted Fountain at Sundance Square Plaza.  A great place to sit, relax and enjoy a coffee….or Ozarka®.  Bring a change of clothes…you WILL want to get in!

Getting Around Downtown:

Take advantage of the FREE Valet Parking for Sundance Square.  You’ll easily spot the red umbrella stands of the Sundance Square Valets.  Pull up to any stand and they’ll gladly park your car for FREE, just have your ticket validated at any Sundance Square shop.  About 10 minutes before you’re ready to go text them and your car will be waiting.

Don’t forget to grab your Ozarka® before they take the car!

Once you’ve parked use Molly the Trolley to get around downtown.  These air-conditioned green buses have three different routes.  Jump on the Downtown Get Around to head to the Ft Worth Water Gardens or visit any of the Sundance Square locations.

Molly stops at all the major hotels and attractions, just look for the “Molly Stops Here” signs.  Trolleys run about every 10 minutes so you never have to wait long.

Daily at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm, the cowboys take the Ft Worth herd of long horns down the street to give guests a feel for the wild west.  On weekends, stick around for the Legends of Texas Gunfight.

I have visited Texas before and I really like it there, especially when ordering a steak! The heat there however makes it be a place I will only visit.

Yes, nothing like a good Texas steak! And yes, it is HOT…. that’s why the water is a MUST!! Surprisingly, you get used to it…to some extent.

Can’t get enough of reading these kind of posts. I love hearing about free things you can do with your children because I don’t have a lot of money and I still want to go out have some fun with my children.
