top 10 of 2014

It’s the beginning of a new year and we look forward with anticipation to what this year may bring.  It can also be a time of reflection on the good and bad of the old year.

Today, I’m sharing what went “right” on the blog this year.  It was a great year.  So many new visitors, new and improved pictures (thanks to a better camera, my Mother’s Day gift from my family) and lots of great food.

These posts received the most page views this year.

Without further adieu I give you….

#1 Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Bacon

parmesan crusted chicken025

I made up this recipe one evening when I was desperate for something new to do with chicken.  It turned out great!  I took pictures and even edited them but just left them sitting on the computer for a couple of months.

One day in the summer when I was in a HUGE hurry to get a post out, I saw them.  I had absolutely nothing to say about this dish.  It wasn’t a family heirloom recipe, we had only had it once, there was no story behind it so I just said…

This recipe epitomized my new motto for dinner….

“When in doubt, smother with cheese and bacon!”

The SEO was terrible, I didn’t feel like the pictures were great, but I was in a hurry, the pictures were already edited, and it was all I had.  As I hit “publish” six months ago little did I know it would go viral!  It’s my most viewed, most printed, most commented post and as of today it’s been pinned over 400,000 times!  I’m completely overwhelmed!

To God be the Glory….O Taste and See that the Lord is good.  Blessed is the man that trusts in Him.

To all those who have taken their time to read, comment, pin, share or try any of my recipes it is with great joy and much gratitude I say…

Thank You and have a Blessed 2015
