Italian Cream Soda

Italian Cream Soda is one of our favorite summer drinks!  We have enjoyed them at several Italian restaurants but they’re so simple now we make them at home.  They’re cool, refreshing AND easy, that’s why we’ll be serving these on the “coffee bar” at my daughter’s wedding…for those non-coffee drinkers.

Any flavor syrup can be used but we prefer the fruit flavors.  Raspberry is my personal favorite but other people in the family enjoy orange (which tastes like those orange dreamsicle pops from the ice cream truck) or vanilla.

If cream isn’t your thing, you might prefer a traditional Italian Soda.

Here’s the Recipe:

  • 1 1/2 oz flavored syrup (we use Torani)
  • 8 oz Club Soda
  • Splash of heavy cream or half and half
  • Ice
  • Optional: Fresh fruit for garnish

Fill glass with ice

Add flavored syrup

Add Club Soda

Add splash of cream or half and half

Stir and enjoy

*The cream will separate a little as it sits so just give it a stir before drinking

Garnish with fresh fruit if desired

I’ve never tried this! I must have an Italian Cream Soda in my life. I think I may make these with the kids over the summer as a treat. Thanks for sharing! Pinned.

This is such a simple recipe. I will definitely give this one a try. Do you think this would work with non-dairy cream?

      Hi Patti,
That’s a good question. I haven’t tried it with non-dairy creamer but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed week!
