Attempting to relax with Sugar Cinnamon Chips and TAZO® Chai Latte

The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of activity!  There’s been wedding planning, finishing our homeschool year, attending a bridal shower and getting my daughter off on a 2 week trip to Colorado.  If that weren’t enough I decided it was time to clean out closets and reorganized the garage.  After all, we need some place to put the decorations and gifts we are accumulating!

I got enough done that I felt like a could relax…just for a minute.  My husband was at work, both daughters gone and my son was upstairs with a friend.

This was the perfect time to try the new TAZO® Chai Latte I received.  The TAZO® Chai Latte K-Cup® pods would only take a minute to brew up in my Kuerig® so I could put my feet up while the boys were playing video games.

When I opened the box I saw recipe cards.  These are recipes developed by Padma Lakshmi that pair perfectly with a cup of chai.  Tea and chai have always been a part of Padma’s life and she’s excited to celebrate the flavors of chai with TAZO®.  Glancing quickly through, Sugar and Cinnamon Chips caught my eye…because it’s chips!  I had all the ingredients and they could be made in a flash so I decided to whip up a couple…not a whole recipe, after all, they were just for me.  I couldn’t wait to relax with Sugar Cinnamon Chips and TAZO® Chai Latte!

Chips done!  Of course I had to taste one (Ok, two) just to make sure they were good.  Padma was right, they were a perfect pairing for chai.   Now I was ready for the chai.

Unlike regular tea or coffee, chai has two components that bring together the perfect blend of sweet meets spicy. Made from milk, tea and spices you get a creamy blend of black tea, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and vanilla flavor.

First, empty the sweetened dairy blend pack into a cup

Insert K-Cup® pod as usual and brew with 8 oz of water

Stir it all up and you’re ready to explore a world of flavor from the comfort of your home.

I headed outside to take a couple of pictures (because that’s what food bloggers do…and the best light is on my back porch)  As I came back in the door, chips and chai in hand, the boys came down looking for a snack.  I went to the pantry to get something for them to take back upstairs.  Putting several options on the table, unfortunately too close to my plate of chips, I went back out to get my props.  When I came back in (literally 3 seconds later) they (the boys) were gone….AND SO WERE ALL MY CHIPS!  It’s surprising how a 13 and 14-year-old boy can seem like a raid of army ants when it comes to food!

Well, thankfully, I was still able to enjoyed my TAZO® Chai Latte!
