Welcome to Family Fun Friday!

Family Fun Friday is a collection of Family Friendly posts to help families connect. Whether it be through encouragement, homeschool printables, craft ideas, family activities or delicious family recipes, our goal is to promote family togetherness.  We hope you’ll stick around a while and check out some of the great ideas you see here.

Last week we had a TONS of links…well over 200!  Yeah!  I saw several new blogs!  It did make choosing my features a little harder than usual, though.  After looking around at all the great ideas I decided to feature a few that really caught my eye.

This week I’m featuring Simply Homemade on Family Fun Friday.  By “simply homemade” I mean things we may normally buy at the store but can be made rather simply at home.  That often means more healthy and almost always less expensive.

1.  Homemade English Muffins by Flavors by Four.  I like English muffins but rarely buy them.  I had no idea you could make them at home…and the recipe looks SUPER easy!

2.  Homemade Pickles by Chocolates and Crockpots.  These brought back fond memories of helping my grandmother make all sorts of pickles.  I loved her dill pickles but I’m not sure what happened to her recipe.  I might just have to give these a try.

3.  Easy Homemade Broth by Ten at the Table.  My favorite thing about this recipe is that it’s done in the crock pot!  The boiling on the stove has been the biggest reason I don’t make broth all the time.

4.  2 -Ingredient Homemade Chocolate Sauce by Natural Chow.  There’s so many things RIGHT about that title I don’t even know where to start!  2- Ingredients + Homemade + Chocolate Sauce= sign me up!

5.  Easy Peasy French Bread by My MunGrill Master and Miraculous Life.  Our family loves homemade bread.  Unfortunately, bread and pie crust are just NOT my thing.  For a while my husband and daughter were making bread every Saturday and it did take a long time.  This recipe says, “1 hour start to finish”.  I think even I have the time and know-how for that!

6.  White Chocolate Caramel Sauce by Dash of Sanity.  Sandy is seriously one of my favorite food bloggers!  I can’t tell you how much I LOVE her pictures.  This sauce looks AMAZING and I can’t wait try it…I’m pretty sure I’ll be eating it on everything!

Let’s see what my lovely co-hosts have chosen this week…
