Garlic and Herb Cheese Bombs
I’ve kinda been on a roll with the Pinterest recipes lately, so I thought I’d go ahead and share another one today. I saw several pins from different people for this Garlic and Herb Cheese Bombs so I’m not sure of the original source. The one I used came from Juggling Act Mamma.
Yesterday, I told you about my first “Pinterest attempt“….and fail. Today, I’ll share my second…and what I considered to be my very last!
Again, it was a picture shared on Facebook that lured me in. Well, that and an embarrassingly dirty shower. It was one of those “before and after” type pictures. The before was a shower that looked worse than mine, the after looked brand new! I had to find out what this miracle cleaner was…so, I clicked.
Over to Pinterest then to the blog I went. It was this (alleged) amazing concoction made from ingredients already in my kitchen.
I didn’t give it too much thought and “pinned” it for later.
After about a week or so, my shower hadn’t miraculously cleaned itself and I went back to look over this miracle cleanser again and give it a try.
As I read the ingredients again something hit me…vinegar, baking soda and blue Dawn (had to be blue they said) Now, I’ve taught enough fourth grade science to know how to make a volcano…..baking soda and vinegar.
Again, my better judgement said, “You’re going to have a mess on your hands”. But, it had been pinned a ton of times and I thought maybe the blue Dawn somehow counteracted the “explosive” effect?
This story has gotten much longer than I thought so we better save the rest for another day and get back to these yummy Garlic and Herb Cheese Bombs.
These were NOT a Pinterest fail! In fact, they were quite delicious. They make a quick and easy appetizer or bread addition for just about any meal. I used some leftover garlic butter dipping sauce from our DiGiorno® Pizza with a little Italian seasoning for the “Garlic and Herb” part, so that saved me even more time. I do recommend eating them right out of the oven, otherwise the cheese firms back up and isn’t as “melty”.
Here’s the Recipe:
- 2 cans (7.5 oz. each) refrigerated biscuits
- 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese, I used string cheese
- 4 tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Cut cheese into 20 pieces
Slightly flatten each biscuit and place one piece of cheese in the center
Wrap biscuit around cheese and seal
Place biscuits on baking sheet about 1 inches apart, seam side down
Bake about 10-15 minutes until biscuits are done and slightly browned
While biscuits are cooking, melt butter and add garlic and Italian seasoning
As soon as the biscuits are done remove from oven and brush liberally with butter mixture
Serve warm…..
With extra Garlic and Herb Butter for dipping!

Oh my gosh my husband and I will gobble these up! I’m SO glad I found you on Pinterest I love your recipes….Keep up the happy cooking! One question – are there printable versions of all of the recipes??? Only some of them are giving me that option….

I thought most should have printable versions. I will double check. There may be a few of the oldest that don’t. If you have a minute to let me know which ones I will check it out. There is always a possibility of a gliche in the system. I understand about the printable. Nothing more frustrating than finding a great recipe but not being able to print it.
