Everyone knows what this Sunday is….Big Game Day!  Literally, millions of families and friends will be sitting around the TV, eating snacks and cheering for their favorite team….and we will be one of them.

Sitting around the TV eating food is a treat for us.  We have always made it a practice to have family dinners around the table….UNLESS it’s pizza!  I don’t know what it is about pizza but we just HAVE to eat it in front of the TV.  Most often it’s a Friday movie night or a family show we’re watching on a Sunday evening.  Any time my kids hear we’re having pizza for dinner their first question is, “What are we watching?”  I think we may be a little too predictable.

Sometimes we just have pizza when I can’t think of anything else for dinner, but this week I planned ahead!  In anticipation of watching the Big Game with my son, husband and possibly friends (I’m pretty sure the girls will be watching a “chick-flick” upstairs) I picked up a couple of DiGiorno® Pepperoni STUFFED CRUST® Pizzas.  

They’re on Rollback right now at Wal-Mart AND there’s a coupon!  

The DiGiorno® STUFFED CRUST® Pizza is a favorite with our family because it’s two treats in one!  Once you’ve enjoyed the yummy pizza what you have left is a perfectly delicious crust stuffed with fresh mozzarella cheese! What’s not to love about that?!  

I thought it might be nice to add a little something extra to the enjoyment of the STUFFED CRUST® with a dipping sauce bar.  I’m a born “dipper”.  Anytime I have any sort of bread I just feel like “dipping”.

For our dipping bar I’m serving traditional marinara, ranch dressing and my personal favorite…Garlic Butter Dipping Sauce!  

The Garlic Butter Dipping Sauce is a super easy recipe and can be made ahead and reheated in the microwave just before serving.  

Here’s the Recipe:

1 stick butter (just go ahead and use the good stuff, it’s a treat)

1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

dash (or two) of salt

In a small bowl, mix salt and garlic powder

In a sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter

Remove from heat and add garlic mixture

Stir well

Serve alongside DiGiorno® STUFFED CRUST® Pizza!

Ingredients

1. 1 stick butter (just go ahead and use the good stuff, it’s a treat)
2. 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
3. dash (or two) of salt

Instructions

1. Combine salt and garlic powder in a small bowl
2. Melt butter over medium heat in a small sauce pan
3. Remove from heat and add garlic mixture
4. Stir well
5. Serve immediately or store in airtight container for several days
6. Reheat before serving
