Easy Feta Dip
This post was written on behalf of Viva® Vantage®. As always, all opinions are my own.
Last week I had the opportunity to attend an event sponsored by Viva® Vantage® paper towels. At this event we learned about great new uses for Viva® Vantage® and even got to try some of them. I tend to be a creature of habit, loving routine and schedule, often using the same products year after year. Most people do the same when it comes to paper towels. But, every now and then it’s good to switch things up.
Viva® Vantage® was recently named 2015 of the Year! Pre-tty Cool! I can certainly see why.
It’s strechy-strength and great scrubbing power make it perfect for all kinds of kitchen jobs. Today I’m sharing how I’m getting started with the 7-Day Switch Up using these Five Kitchen Switch Ups….
#1 Viva® Vantage® is strong enough to use as a strainer, which means LESS DISHES TO WASH!
#2 Replace the need for a vegetable scrubber by using the great scrubbing power of Viva® Vantage® to properly clean everything from mushrooms to potatoes.
#3 Perfect for making your own disinfecting wipes
#4 Keep vegetable (like lettuce) or herbs fresh longer. Wrap them in a paper towel to help soak up any excess moisture. Then place them in a baggie or re-sealable container and into the refrigerator.
#5 Slip a damp paper towel under your cutting board to prevent it from shifting while slicing and dicing.
Our hostess also had a beautiful and delicious bruschetta bar including the super Easy Feta Dip I’m sharing today.
This is a wonderful appetizer or side. Best of all, besides the taste, it literally takes ten minutes (at the most) to make AND you can make it right in the serving dish! I’ll show you how I used the 7-Day Switch Up to make this recipe at home.
Here’s the Recipe:
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 3 Roma tomatoes
- 4-5 green onions
- 8 oz Feta cheese – crumbled
- 2-3 tsp Greek seasoning
- 1-2 Tbsp Balsamic vinegar
Rinse onions
Clean tomatoes with a damp Viva® Vantage®
Cut the green part (only) of the onion into small slices
Dice tomatoes
On a large platter drizzle olive oil until a thin layer covers the bottom
Add tomatoes, green onions and feta
Sprinkle with Greek seasoning
Using a large spoon, carefully combine ingredients until coated with olive oil
Drizzle with Balsamic vinegar
Serve with toasted baguette slices
