Family dinners are an important part of life at our house.  We try very hard to put aside distractions and sit down to dinner together each night.  But, on Wednesday evenings, we have fifteen people at our house for dinner.

How did that happen?  You know how sometimes when you plan one thing, then it leads to another, and it just begins to snowball …until you have fifiteen people at your house for dinner every week?  Well, it was one of those things.  It’s kind of a long story involving piano lessons, a nutrition course and our weekly Bible study. Fortunately, when it comes to food and fellowship, our motto is, “The more the merrier”..so it’s perfect!

Manwich #ad 009

Each week we take turns bringing the main dish for dinner so when Manwich provided me with three can of their hearty sauces I knew exactly how to make an easy weeknight dinner.  They also sent me this really great wooden spoon and pot holder, which I desparately needed!

Manwich contains no meat, so I purchased three pounds of hamburger and I was all set.

I like to visit when people come to my house so I prepared everything ahead of time….in about 30 minutes … and kept it warm in my triple crock pot.

I’m feeling a bit “June Cleaver-ish” in this picture…all dressed up (I’m even wearing a skirt, but you can’t see it) with hair and make up done to do house work and cooking.  Not my normal, but remember we were having company.

Because of it’s kid-stopping power and sweet, tangy, messy-Iicious taste, I decided to serve the Original Manwich as traditional Sloppy Joes.

The Bold Manwich had a great recipe for tacos on the back, so I added a little cumin and taco seasoning, served taco shells with some of it and made these great Manwich Fiesta Nachos with the rest.

I thought the adults might appreciate the Thick & Chunky Manwich and I was right…none left!

The kids loved the messy-licious taste!  We parents loved the quality ingredients without the use of artifical flavors or preservatives.

This was a great way to bring family and friends together and focus on spending time together.  See, no texting or video games, becuase Manwich takes both hands…sneaky!

If I can prepare this dinner for fifteen people in about 30 minutes, just think how easy it would be to serve Easy Weeknight Meals using Manwich Recipes to your family.

My Manwich Fiest Nacho Recipe:

1 can Bold Manwich

1 lb ground beef

cumin – 1/2 Tbsp

taco seasoning 1 Tbsp

tortilla chips

beans (your favorite)

corn

Mexican cheese – lots!

Cook hamburger until done and drain

Add Bold Manwich and seasonings, heat through

In a cast iron skillet or other pan, place a layer of chips

Top with Manwich, beans, corn and cheese

If your pan is deep enough..repeat

Place in 400 degree oven until cheese is melted

Thanks again, Manwich for a great dinner and Thanks to my friends for  sharing it with us….

See you next week!

I love the nachos, my kids would love the tacos. I’ll have to add Manwich to my grocery list. It always comes in handy for those busy days.

We had Manwich Sloppy Joe’s last week when I made the Oven Baked Fries. I had not had Sloppy Joe’s in a very long time until last week. I like your Manwich Fiesta Nacho recipe. That sounds good for football season!

You’re right about them being good for football season. Around here we turn just about anything into nachos! Thanks for stopping by!

I agree, I like to be prepared when people come over so that I can visit instead of finishing up the meal. This is the perfect meal for that!

There are SO many uses for Manwich- during the week I need semi-homemade meals, so this is perfect!

When my kids were growing up they loved Manwich Sloppy Joe’s. It was just about a weekly thing at my house. I haven’t made them in years, but you just enticed me to bring um back and fall is the perfect time. Yum!

I have that same triple crockpot and it’s perfect for a crowd.
