Time Saving Tip….Crock Pot Baked Potatoes
Crock Pot Baked Potatoes may arguably be my greatest “discovery” of 2013 and it came from my friend, RaShell, who blogs over at Team Southerland. It gave me one of those, “Why didn’t I think of that?” moments. It’s so simple, yet it never occurred to me, and I use the crock pot for everything I possibly can. Am I the last person to know about this?
There are so many things I love about this idea. When I made them, I followed RaShell’s suggestion and made a whole crock pot full. We had “baked” potatoes that evening for dinner, fried potatoes the next morning for breakfast and potato skins a few days later. I can’t believe how much time it saved having them already done and in the refrigerator! The next time I bought a bag of potatoes, I was tempted to bring them right home and put them all in the crock pot….but I didn’t.
Here’s What To Do:
- Thoroughly wash desired amount of potatoes.
- Place wet potatoes in crock pot
- Cook on low about 6 hours (or on high about 4)
- Check for doneness by inserting the blade of a sharp knife into potato, if it slides off easily…it’s done
What’s your favorite potato recipe?

These sound really simple and yet delicious. I also enjoy potatoe with everything. I think my favorite is potatoe gratin.
