Feeding the Men on Girl’s Night Out

Although I am a food blogger and I do love to cook, I enjoy eating out as well. Sometimes it’s with our whole family and sometimes just my husband and I.
Occasionally, I have the opportunity to have a “Girl’s Night Out”, either with friends or with my daughters. We go some place with great food and have a wonderful time. BUT there’s still the question of “What are the Men going to eat?”….meaning my husband and son.
We almost always have left overs in the fridge but I feel a little guilty being served a scrumptious restaurant meal while my men re-heat bits and pieces of the week’s dinners. On the other hand, I don’t really want to cook dinner if I’m going out. Of course, my husband enjoys grilling but after working all day I’m sure he’d like to come home and relax.
Browsing through the frozen food aisle at Wal-Mart recently, I came across Stouffer’s FitKitchen Steak Fajita dinner.
We love all foods Mexican, so I figured they’d be worth a try. This could be just the thing I need for Girl’s Night Out. It would be great to give “the men” a hearty satisfying meal, loaded with protein (they are meat lovers) with only 370 calories. FitKitchen Steak Fajita is microwaveable and ready in under ten minutes. Talk about quick and easy with very little clean-up! Then they’d have more time to do whatever it is they do when Mom and the girls are out.
FitKitchen Steak Fajita is a one dish meal of tender fajita style steak, a mix of red and green peppers, corn and black beans mixed with seasoned brown rice in a smoked red chili sauce. TASTY!
What if they decided they like it so much they want me to go out more often?!
