Lahaina Maui Ice cream and shopping
Today I’d like to welcome Kara from Peek-a-boo Travel!
Kara has graciously agreed to guest post for me today, allowing me to enjoy a week of being “unplugged” at camp with my husband, two of my children and some of our church kids.
If you’re planning or considering a trip I would encourage you to check out Kara’s travel blog. She has some great reviews with helpful suggestions for places to stay, things to see and much more.
Today she’s sharing with us Lahaina Maui Ice cream and shopping, a beautiful Hawaiian destination!
The main reason I stop in Lahaina is for Lapperts ice cream. Aloha! But seriously this ice cream makes me slip into the Maui coma where I find peace and bliss. I indulge in there flavors like Kona Coffee or Macadamia Nut Chocolate. But hands down my favorite combo is the Passion Fruit sorbet with Raspberry Sorbet and a scoop of coconut ice cream. Heavenly! I once tried to ship some home only to find out it would cost $96! It was tempting though!
A short walk from Lapperts is this garden area which is a great place to eat your sweet treat.
Once you have consumed those delicious calories you can walk it off as you head into town.
Lahaina is a popular cruise stop because of all the shopping! I have found the best jewelry here as well as swim suits. There is also a lot of shops selling the same touristy shirts and trinkets.
When you come here there is street parking but it can be tough to find! You can also check the designated parking lots they have off the main road.
If you like to negotiate prices for your jewelry there is a little swap meet part that is halfway into town on the right. You won’t miss it! But you can find some traditional Hawaiian jewelry there.
Lahaina is a beautiful little town sitting right on the Pacific Ocean. The views alone are worth the stop but the ice cream and shopping is fabulous!

Have you ever been to Lahaina? What are your favorite shops or restaurants you like to eat at?
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to go! Thanks again, Kara for sharing with us.
