I was selected to attend the Chosen by You event and will receive compensation for this post. The products were amazing and as always, all opinions are my own.

Christmas Gift Guide AD

Are you one of those people who gets all their Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving?  YOU. ARE. MY HERO!

I love to shop for Christmas gifts but I’m more of a “last minute shopper” but this year I’m motivated to start early. My main motivation came from an event I was privileged to attend back in July.  It really was the ultimate “Christmas in July”.  Walmart invited me (and tons of other people) to preview and rate literally hundreds (maybe even thousands) of products they will be featuring for the Christmas shopping season.  There really was something for EVERYONE!  Of course, I made my way straight to the kitchen section!

I’ve put together the Ultimate Christmas Gift Guide for Home Chefs and Foodies.

These are some of the “must-haves” for the Home Chef in your life:

Christmas gift guide

The #1 must-have for any Home Chef (IMHO) is a KitchenAid Mixer!  Many years ago, my husband wanted to buy me one but I resisted rationalizing, “It’s just a mixer, how much better can it be?”  (If you have a KitchenAid you probably just chuckled at that)  When I think of that now I’m reminded of my daughter’s question before seeing the Grand Canyon, “What’s the big deal?  It’s just a whole in the ground.”

Eventually, I was given a KitchenAid and let me just say…..IT’S THAT GOOD!

Walmart has the Classic 4.5-Qt KitchenAid Stand Mixer.  It’s small but powerful!  It comes in fun colors so just leave it out on the counter, it looks great!

#2 is a very close second to the KitchenAid Mixer…..

Calphalon Hard-Anodized Nonstick Cookware. There’s nothing like a good set of pots and pans!  I have anodized cookware and it is absolutely AH-MAZING!  It heats evenly, cooks beautifully and clean up is a BREEZE!  It can’t go in the dishwasher but it doesn’t need to, it practically wipes clean.

#3 Although you may think coffee lover’s would be the only ones who consider the Keurig 2.0 K200 a must-have, but it make SO much more than coffee.  Sure there’s hot chocolate and hot tea, but the hot water can also be used for things like instant oatmeal, cup-a-soups, or Ramen noodles.  Then there’s the iced tea and coffee PODS as well!

The newest version of the Keurig 2.0 was designed using customer feedback.  Customers spoke and Keurig listened!  (Now, that’s a great idea!)  This new design is smaller, according to customers size was one of the biggest drawbacks.  It also comes in seven colors ranging from traditional black or white to trendy purple and turquoise.

MY BIGGEST AND MOST EXCITING DISCOVERY ABOUT THE KEURIG…..

For those who received the Keurig 2.0 last Christmas (like me) and want to use your own coffee..now you can! There’s a new POD made specifically to work with the Keurig 2.0.  There’s one for single brewing or carafe brewing. This was also a change made after evaluating customer feedback.  I love that Keurig listens!

#4 is the must-have that’s going on MY Christmas list….The Farberware Air Fryer!  This is every Southern girl’s dream come true!  Fried food without all the “bad stuff”.  Yes, it actually “fries” with air. How does it work?  I have no idea.  What I do know is, they had samples! (This may or may not have been the reason I headed to the kitchen section in the first place)

Frozen French fries, zucchini and potatoes that were de-licious, they tasted just like food from the deep fryer. Believe me, I love to fry food in the deep fryer.

Christmas gift guide

#5 a wonderful addition for those of us who love breakfast (and probably a Texas must-have) the Hamilton Beach Breakfast Burrito Maker!

Christmas gift guide

This is a great little appliance that produces made to order breakfast burritos in minutes.  I love pretty much anything wrapped in a tortilla!

Now, what about those who enjoy eating more than cooking?

Walmart has them covered, too….

Christmas gift guide

I like to call them “Foodie Gift Baskets”

Christmas gift guide

#1 Movie Night for 2, is a fun gift for a spouse or couple.  Add a “ticket” for a stay at home movie date night and you’ve got the perfect gift.

Christmas gift guide

#2 Kids (or any s’mores fans) will love Nestle’s S’mores Cocoa Mug Kit.  It comes with everything you need for s’mores and hot cocoa, including two cute snowman mugs.

Christmas gift guide

#3 HIckory Farms has a large selection of cheese and sausage gift boxes.  These are always part of our Christmas tradition.

Christmas gift guide

#4 Love Starbucks?  Their Hot Cocoa mix is just as good as their coffee.

Christmas gift guide

#5 and for the chocolate lover……Ghirardelli Chocolate Baskets!  My motto is…

When in doubt, give chocolate!

It may only be October but it’s the perfect time to start (or at least thinking about) Christmas shopping, no crowds, no pressure and plenty of good deals!
