Easy Apple Bundt Cake
Whether it feels like it or not….It’s officially Fall!
I guess it’s time to start with the fall recipes. Several weeks ago, my daughter made this Easy Apple Bundt Cake and it’s perfect for fall.
When we lived in Pennsylvania we were only about thirty minutes from Adam County, one of the top apple producing areas in the country, so we had access to an abundance of fresh apples and apple products. I guess I just took all the wonderful apple desserts, dishes and ciders for granted. Now, I really miss them.
This Easy Apple Bundt Cake is a perfect “semi-homemade” fall recipe and can be served as dessert or breakfast, or if you’re like us…both!
It’s moist, delicious and SUPER easy…it starts with a cake mix, but no one will ever know unless you tell them.
Here’s the Recipe:
- 1 (18.25 oz.) yellow cake mix
- 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 6 apples
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 10″ bundt pan
Peel, core and cut apples into wedges and keep peeled apples from turning brown
*You can mix with a wooden spoon but I used the mixer*
Stir together cake mix and pudding in mixing bowl
Add eggs, sour cream, and oil.
Mix until well blended, being careful not to over beat
In a small bowl combine sugar, cinnamon and nuts (if using)
Pour half batter in prepared pan and top with half the apples
Then half the cinnamon sugar
Repeat with second half of batter, apples and cinnamon sugar
Bake at 350 for 60-70 minutes
Cool for 1/2 hour on wire rack before removing from pan
Remove and cool completely or…
Just cut into it and have a piece! Desserts are always BEST right out of the oven!

Yum! I love apple anything in the fall! Maybe it will help me get in the “feeling of fall” even while it is still in the 80’s here in Texas. 🙂 Can’t wait to try this.
