Hamburger Sliders
My daughters enjoy having friends over for a game night. What goes better with good friends and games? Great Food!
Even though Potato Skins and Chips and Salsa are always a big hit, we wanted to do something different this time. We wanted something a little more substantial but still a “finger food”. A couple of their friends are gluten intolerant, so we always try to have something “gluten free”. That’s how we came up with the idea to do Hamburger Sliders. Of course, the bun isn’t “gluten free” but the hamburger is. There’s no secret ingredient in these, just a good old fashion hamburger…on a small bun.
“Grilling” hamburgers inside on the griddle can be a little “messy” and I didn’t want to have that clean up right before guests arrived. We cooked the burgers a couple of hours before the party and kept them warm in the crock pot. I added just a little water to the crock pot before putting in the patties and turned it on the “warm” setting. The water provided a bit of moisture that kept them from drying out. When ready to serve we simply put the crock pot on the table and let everyone “help themselves”.
Here’s the Recipe:
- hamburger meat
- Seasoned Salt
- garlic powder
- pepper
- small rolls (purchased from Sam’s)
Make hamburger into small patties
Sprinkle one side with garlic, seasoned salt and pepper and place (seasoned side down) on hot griddle
Lightly season other side of patties
Place bacon press or small cast iron skillet on top of patties to keep them flat
Flip halfway through
Drain on paper towel when done
Buns can be toasted if you choose
I purchased these yeast rolls at Sam’s…36 for under $5
These were SUPER easy and a HUGE hit!

These look yummy! I love sliders because I can actually finish them! I should definitely give these a try…I’ll just have to head to Sam’s to find the cute little buns!

I love sliders. We made them for my mom’s 60th birthday party. I don’t know why but little version of bigger things are just so cute to me. These look really good. Thanks for sharing at Saturday Dishes.
